Binance Convert is a simple and fast coin swap tool that lets you exchange between different cryptocurrencies without placing orders on the trading page. Register a Binance account to try the Convert feature, and swap with one click through the Binance APP for even simpler operation.
What Is Binance Convert
Binance Convert is a simplified trading method — you just select the two cryptocurrencies to swap, enter the amount, and the system provides a real-time quote, completing the exchange within seconds. The entire process requires no price setting, order type selection, or even visiting the trading page.
Convert's biggest advantages are simplicity and zero explicit fees. Binance doesn't charge a separate fee for Convert trades — the cost is included in the exchange rate. For small swaps and infrequent traders, Convert is more convenient than placing orders on the spot market.
Convert supports almost all cryptocurrencies on Binance, including coins without direct trading pairs on the spot market. For example, if you want to swap SOL for ADA, the spot market might require selling SOL for USDT then buying ADA, while Convert does it in one step.
How to Use the Convert Feature
Open the Binance APP and find the Convert entry on the homepage or trading menu. The page has two selection boxes — the top one for the coin you're selling and the bottom for the coin you're buying.
Enter the amount you want to sell or buy. The system calculates the corresponding swap amount and rate in real time. Quotes typically have a few seconds' validity — tap confirm within the window to complete. If the quote expires, simply refresh for a new one.
After the swap completes, the new coin appears immediately in your spot account. You can view all Convert history in your transaction records, including swap time, rate, and amounts.
Convert vs Spot Trading
Convert is ideal for: small swaps, uncommon trading pairs, wanting maximum simplicity, and not being price-sensitive. Spot trading is better for: large trades, seeking the best price, high-frequency trading, and needing limit orders.
Price-wise, Convert's effective exchange rate may not be as good as what you'd get using limit orders on the spot market, since the Convert quote includes a spread. But for small trades, this spread is usually negligible.
For beginners, Convert is the most user-friendly trading method — no need to understand order books, limit orders, or other concepts. As experience grows, you can transition to spot trading for better prices.
Convert Tips and Limitations
Keep these points in mind when using Convert. First, for large swaps, consider splitting into multiple transactions or using the spot market for better pricing. Convert quotes for large orders may have wider spreads.
Second, during extreme market volatility, Convert quotes may refresh slowly — use spot trading during such periods for more controllable execution prices. Convert may also be temporarily unavailable during extreme conditions.
Convert has minimum and maximum swap amount limits that vary by coin. If your needs exceed these limits, use spot trading. Also, Convert only works with funds in your Spot Account — if funds are in your Futures or Earn accounts, transfer them to Spot first.
